Cherokee Medical Center Announces New CNO
Angela (Angie) Bennett, R.N, MSN

Cherokee Medical Center would like to announce their new CNO Angie Bennett. A Cherokee County resident, Angie is the daughter of Nellie Faye Parker and the late Elbert Parker. Angie is married to Donnie Bennett and has two sons Eric Roberts and Seth Roberts. Angie has been an employee with Cherokee Medical Center for over ten years. Angie a native of Cherokee County attended Northeast Alabama Community College where she received her Associate Degree in Nursing she then continued her education to complete her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville State University then completed her Masters in Nursing and Major in Community Health. Angie has received throughout her employment with Cherokee Medical Center several honorable awards from Employee of the Year in 2002 to Patient Choice Award in 2008.  

Regarding her nursing Angie has displayed a true passion. She recognizes the true value of each person and relates her desire to nursing through helping individuals by protecting the patient, regenerating their health, nurturing the sick and comforting the dying. Mrs. Bennett has exemplified her beliefs on more than one occasion. “Angie makes every patient feel special while they are in her care” says Rebecca Smith, Emergency Department Director.

Angie’s nursing experience from Global Nursing with serving as a delegate for U.S.-China Nursing Forum Delegation, Mrs. Bennett is also an active voice for “Autism Awareness throughout Cherokee County from 2007-Present Date.
